The numerator is the top number in a fraction.
We write the numerator just above the fraction bar. For example, in the fraction ${\dfrac{4}{5}}$, 4 is the numerator.
It acts as the dividend in a fraction, while the denominator, placed just below the fraction bar, serves as the divisor.
Find the numerator in the fractions ${\dfrac{6}{11}}$, ${\dfrac{a}{b}}$, and ${\dfrac{p + q}{m + n}}$.
As we know, the numerator is the top number,
∴ They are 6, a, and (p + q)
